Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR)
STA's subject matter experts understand technologies key to Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance ("ISR"). And although the evolution of ISR into its own discipline is a relatively recent development, STA has long been involved with ISR's component parts. We have extensive experience working with, among other specialties, Network Centric systems, sensor technologies, communications technologies, system architectures, hardware and software capable of gathering and sifting data, and unmanned systems. We understand how these component parts interact, and routinely apply them in conjunction with one another as complete packages.

- Ducted Fan Micro Air Vehicle (MAV) technologies providing for "hover and stare" capabilities in a variety of warfighting environments. These vehicles allow for surveillance and reconnaissance in restricted environments, and can be employed in complex topographies, e.g., sparsely populated mountainous terrain and densely populated urban areas. STA refines the interaction of these systems' flight control, autonomous collision avoidance and re-routing, power and propulsion, navigation, and communications technologies.
- Fixed Wing Unmanned Air Vehicle Technologies
- Unmanned Ground Vehicles capable of providing surveillance in restricted areas. STA manages these vehicles; platform development, control and reaction, autonomous decision functions, sensor suites, and communications suites.
