Risk Assessments
STA performs in-depth analysis of programs and pinpoints areas of uncertainty (risks) pertaining to program performance. This risk analysis will not only identify unknowns but will also hypothesize likely occurrences based on varied assumptions.
"Risk Assessment" tasks include:

Identifying a myriad of program risks, including: technical risks, budgetary risks, and risks associated with lack of needed capabilities

Providing independent advice regarding how identified risks can be best mitigated

Detailing the benefits and detriments associated with various risk-mitigating courses of action
